Learn the game

Learn the game is the real Rent Party game screen on a demo table, with a coach that walks you through every control in 16 steps and then takes you to set up a practice game. Open it at rentparty.aoneahsan.com/learn. Nothing on the demo table is saved.

What does Learn the game show?

Every control on the game screen, in the order a turn uses them:

  1. This is the table: a demo game called Sunday night, and you’re Noor, the rocket.
  2. Who’s playing: one chip per player, showing their bucks and how many deeds they hold.
  3. Roll the dice: doubles mean you go again, and 3 in a row send you to Jail.
  4. Buy a street: buy it at the printed price, or turn it down and it goes to auction.
  5. Bid at auction: everyone can bid, you included. A pass is final.
  6. Latest move: who paid whom; press it for the whole game log.
  7. Your deeds: press any street on the board to read its deed.
  8. Manage what you own: every build and every mortgage happens here.
  9. Houses and hotels: own the whole color set and build evenly. A hotel comes after 4 houses.
  10. Mortgage and pay back: the bank pays you half the printed price, and paying it back costs that plus 10%.
  11. Trade: offer deeds or bucks to anyone at the table.
  12. The game log: every move so far, newest at the bottom.
  13. Moments: the big ones pop up on the table, then leave by themselves.
  14. End your turn: the dice pass to the next player.
  15. Pause the game: pause saves your seat.
  16. You’re ready: come back any time, or play a practice game.

How do I open Learn the game?

Press Learn the game in the site header, in the footer’s Play group or in your account menu, whichever is closest when you want a refresher. In a game, open the pause menu and choose How the game screen works.

It covers the game screen only. Every other page has a tour of its own, from the button in the header.

The first time you open a game, a short note offers it: Your first roll can wait. Learn the game screen first. Choose Show me to start. The note appears once in each browser and once for your account, so a second device won’t show it again.

Can I skip steps or leave?

Yes, at any step. Next and Back move one step, and All steps lists all 16 so you can jump straight to one. Skip or Close ends it and takes you to How to play. Escape does the same.

Each step puts a ring around one control, and the table stays live, so you can press what the step points at and see what it does.

Is anything on the demo table saved?

No. Sunday night is a demo with Noor, Maya, Sam and Pip the CPU character at the table, and nothing you do there is saved, so roll and build all you like.

What happens at the last step?

Play a practice game takes you to set up a practice game against a CPU character, where the next roll counts.

Ready when you are. Learn the game.
