Online now and matches
Online now shows who’s around right now. Challenge a friend, invite someone to your room, or let Rent Party find you a match.
Online now needs you to be signed in.
Who shows on Online now?
Signed-in players who are online, with friends first and everyone else after. When the list is long, it shows the first part of it, friends always first.
Each card shows what that person is doing:
| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| Around | Online, not in a game. |
| In a game | Playing now. |
| Looking for a match | Waiting for a match. |
Every card carries the person’s reputation level. From a card you can Challenge, Invite to room or Add friend.
How do you hide yourself?
In Settings, under Online and coins, switch off Show me on Online now.
When it’s off, nobody sees you on the Online now list, and you can still see them. Matches still find you when you look for one.
How do you challenge a friend?
Choose Challenge on their card, then pick what kind of game:
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Friendly | No coins. Just the game. |
| Coin challenge | You both put in the same table fee. Coin challenges has the details. |
Choose Send challenge. Changed your mind? Take it back.
Your friend gets the challenge and chooses Accept or Not now. Accepting opens your room.
There’s one challenge between the two of you at a time, and an hourly limit on how many you send.
How do you invite someone to your room?
Choose Invite to room on their card. They get an invite in their inbox and join your waiting room. No waiting room yet? Choose Start a room first.
How does Find a match work?
Rent Party pairs you with someone at a similar reputation level.
- Under Find a match, pick Friendly, or Coin table and a table fee.
- Choose Find a match. Rent Party looks for someone near your level, and widens the levels if it’s still looking.
- When a match is found, you see their level and a countdown. Choose Accept, or Skip.
Stop looking ends the search. If the match times out, nothing is taken, and you can look again whenever you like.
A coin table can open at a set reputation level, and you need enough coins for its fee. With a coin table, you each put in the fee when the game starts.
What if nobody’s online?
Start a room and share the link. Friends get a nudge when you open one. Online play covers rooms and invites.
