Replays

Your game just ended, and its replay is already waiting: Watch replay on the results page, or under History in Games. Open it and the whole game plays back, from the table it started on to the last move. Online, pass-and-play or against CPU characters: all three.

How do I open a replay?

Under History in Games, each finished game has its own row and its own Watch replay, and the results page has one the moment a game ends. Same table, same dice.

What does a replay show?

The table the game started from, then every public move, step by step. You see what the players saw at the table and nothing more. Nobody’s hidden information shows up.

The position reads Event number of total, so you know how far in you are.

How do the controls work?

Play starts it and Pause stops it. Speed runs at 1×, 2× or 4×. Step back and Step forward move one event, and To start and To end jump to either end. The scrubber goes anywhere in between.

Drag back to the auction everyone’s still talking about.

Who can watch an online game’s replay?

Anyone who played in it or watched it. An online replay comes from the server and carries a fair-dice line once the game’s revealed seed has been checked against the commitment it started with: Fair dice: this game’s seed matches the commitment published when it started.

Where is the recap of an online game?

If you played in it, it’s under How it went on the game’s results page and on its replay. That is the game recap: one short story of how it went. AI features and voice has the rest.

How long is an online replay kept?

An unsaved online replay is kept for a set number of days after the game ends, the same on every plan. After that it reads This replay has expired. Its results are still in Games.

To keep one longer, choose Save replay. It then stays as long as your plan allows; the Replays kept for row on Plans and pricing has that period. You’ll see Saved. Kept until with the date. The Saved replays row on the same page says how many you can keep at once, and the Pricing page shows the current numbers. Full? Delete one to save another.

Deleting your account deletes your saved replays at once. Your account lists everything else that goes with it.

Can I replay a pass-and-play or CPU game?

Yes. A game played on one device is rebuilt on that device from its own record: this device’s copy, or your account’s cloud copy if the game was saved to the cloud and you’re signed in. From this device’s copy it works signed out too.

These replays have no Save replay and no fair-dice line. The replay is the device’s own copy, and its dice were rolled on the device.

Want another one to watch back? Practice against a CPU character.
